About Me

Hello and welcome! My name is Jessica, and this is my personal/lifestyle/politics blog. I'm a 20 year old college student living in New York City during the school year. I am a reader, writer, dancer, feminist, fangirl, Potterhead, semi-avid TV watcher, novice tea enthusiast, coffee shop explorer, and wanderlust traveler.

I'm a Political Science and Public Policy major, with a minor in International Relations and a specific interest in International Development (focusing on Latin America). I'm really interested in learning about different peoples and cultures, their language, their histories, their struggles, their triumphs. I really want to travel everywhere, but haven't been many places yet. I'd really love to have a road trip or two around the U.S, visit as many national parks as possible, go backpacking all over Europe, and explore Latin America. But really everywhere.

I'm American, Brazilian, Taiwanese, and Chinese, and this multiculturalism has shaped me and my life in more ways than you can imagine.

My trip to Taiwan made me feel so much closer to nature than I had before, and now I am working to live more sustainably and consciously, one step at a time. I've also become much more interested in hiking and other outdoor activities (although I'm still a city girl at heart).

Along with this blog, I also have a book blog, am one fifth of a feminist book blog, and am a contributor to another book blog. These are the links; social media links for each can be found on the individual blogs. (All of these are either in hiatus or no longer updating, but feel free to check them out.)
